Timeline

1982

Marketshare, later rebranded as Software Pricing Partners, is founded in Boston, MA. It is the first consultancy in the world dedicated to Software Pricing.

1988

SPP invents "floating license" (a.k.a. Concurrent user) strategy to monetize the value associated with network licensing servers. It rapidly becomes the dominant B2B software licensing model and is still in use today.

1990-2008

SPP becomes widely recognized as the top B2B software pricing firm in the world.

2009

SPP completes its first IoT pricing engagement.

2013

SPP opens its 2nd office in Charlotte, North Carolina.

2018

SPP celebrates its 36th year of software pricing innovation.
